Should Rappers Retire?!

Anyone who knows me knows that my all time favorite rapper is Jay-z. This is for various reasons. Perhaps the most important one is because due to me growing up in a strict Christian home, I started listening to Hip-Hop in 2001. This is also the year the classic album, The Blueprint was released. I have ALWAYS been a fan of poetry so rap was easy for me to follow. I listened to The Blueprint the whole way through and was very impressed. I was like, "man this is what I've been missing?!" I listened to other rappers and they did not compare. Others were great but I just felt like Hov had it all. But now he's getting older. Old. I say all that to say this. Because of his age should he stop? By saying a rap artist is too old to rap is saying Hip-Hop is a genre of music only for young people. Thus making it an immature art form.
